Located in Blanchardstown, Dublin, Dr. Harry Kearns is a member of The Orthodontic Society of Ireland. This is the largest and longest-established specialist dental organization in Ireland, and one that promotes best practice in Orthodontics in Ireland. The criteria for inclusion on this list of Specialist Orthodontists is that one, after qualifying as a general dentist, must have followed a course of Specialist Training in Orthodontics. Most of these courses are 3 years in length, are full-time and attached to a University. One must have gained a wide spectrum of experience in the dental field before being accepted on a Specialist Orthodontic Training Programme - meaning that, in effect, each Specialist Orthodontist has had a minimum of eight years of University education and has had 3 years of Specialist Orthodontic Training beyond a basic dental degree.

The treatment period for our patients varies and is largely dependent on the initial condition of the teeth, but typically involves patients wearing braces for between 18 and 24 months. All our professional staff have completed advanced study in the science of how to guide teeth into the correct positions so that they look good and bite together well. Our mission is to provide excellent orthodontic treatment in a friendly, caring environment, prioritising your needs. We use the most advanced techniques to provide the most effective and efficient means to identify you and your family's orthodontic needs. Invisible Braces

Invisible braces are suitable for people who do not have severe problems. The braces consist of strong plastic trays that are fabricated especially for you. You would be able to get your teeth straightened without anyone seeing that you are wearing braces! This appeals to many adults, especially people who wore traditional braces as children and then need more treatment later in life. However, if your bite is very bad, if you need extractions or require headgear or other appliances, then Invisalign will not work for you; you will need to wear traditional braces.
